LG G2 Mini Preview: 4.7-Inch Screen Confirmed Before Debut?

A report was released this week confirming specs for another device set to make its formal debit at the Mobile World Congress: the LG G2 Mini.

A report by The Verge claims the G2 Mini will come with a 4.7-inch Qhd 540 x 960p resolution display, meaning the phone will hardly be mini, but will still be a smaller option compared to Apple's iPhone 5S or Samsung's Galaxy S4.

The G2 Mini won't include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU found with the LG G2, as it will offer either Snapdragon 400 or Nvidia Tegra 4i, according to the report.

LG will also supposedly equip the phone with a reduced 8-megapixel camera, though there will be a non-4G LTE option for those who are looking to save some money.

The G2 device will also have a removable 2,440mAh battery, 1.2GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM and just 8GB of internal storage.

The smartphone will launch with Android 4.4 KitKat, along with the newest LG software improvements.

The LG G2 Mini will supposedly be available in Russia starting this March.

Places like Europe and the Middle East will have to wait a couple weeks after the initial release date, according to The Verge.

A teaser image of the mini was shared on LG's Facebook account back on Feb. 12.

LG has invited people to "Experience the MINI" on February 24, 2014, at the Mobile World Congress. Make sure to check back after the device is revealed officially for more details.
