Kia Motors is recalling certain model year 2014 Kia Sportage vehicles due to a certification label that has incorrect tire pressure information printed on it.

Over 11,961 Kia Sportage vehicles are involved in the recall.

The label lists a specification that is 1 or 2 psi below the correct information, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Vehicles were manufactured from September 30, 2013 through January 11, 2014.

Vehicles included in the recall don't conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 110, "Tire Selection and Rims for Passenger Cars," according to the NHTSA.

"Maintaining tire pressure below the recommended specification could result in premature tire wear, increasing the risk of a crash," said the NHTSA in its summary.

Kia will notify owners, and dealers will correct the label information, according to the NHTSA. Additionally, owners will also receive a sticker to put into the owner's manual, free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin in later on this month.  

Kia's recall campaign number is SC103, according to the automaker.
