2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Ad Demonstrates Aerodynamics, Features Cats

Mercedes-Benz claims its new 2014 CLA vehicle is the "world's most aerodynamic production car," and chose an interesting way to demonstrate it in a new promo clip.

Though the new CLA might be the advertised product in the promo, a sleeping cat steals the show from the new Mercedes-Benz model.

The vehicle was designed to lower noise and vibration levels to provide a more comfortable and quieter ride in the four-door CLA, according to the automaker.

Mercedes-Benz claims the vehicle has a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd, which is the lowest of any production car available, but that figure applies only for the CLA 180 BlueEFFICIENCY Edition vehicle.

The ad, properly entitled "Cats," was released this week and is already collecting thousands of hits on the automaker's YouTube account.

At press time the video, which was released on Valentine's Day, was at over 167,000 views on YouTube.

Most comments regarding the new ad have been positive, and the video only has 43 dislikes at press time, along with 1,350 likes.

The automaker is no stranger to commercials staring animals, as the company showed-off the Magic Body Control system, featured in the latest W222 S-Class, by using chickens.

So what do you think of the new promo? Did Mercedes-Benz do a good job?
