AT&T Cuts Wireless Prices to Compete With Verizon, T-Mobile

AT&T has announced a significant price cut for customers who share large data plans in its most recent attempt to make up ground loss to other companies like Verizon and T-Mobile, according to Reuters.

The No. 2 U.S. mobile provider has called the deal their best prices ever, as a family of four can get unlimited talk and text with 10GB of shared data for just $160 a month.

Discounts are now available to all customers, including small businesses with over 10 lines, and even customers of other carries who switch over to AT&T.

AT&T has been doing its best to compete with T-Mobile for most of the last year or so. T-Mobile has spent a lot of time marking to AT&T customers the last few quarters, and now AT&T is offering to pay T-Mobile customers to make the switch.

In the new deal, AT&T, is offering new and current customers a $100 credit for each new line of service, for a limited time, according to Reuters.

Despite not airing a new commercial during the Super Bowl, AT&T still purchased advertising space and ran a recently released commercial to try catching the attention of some 100 million viewers who turned in to watch the Seattle Seahawks face the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

During the fourth fiscal quarter, AT&T reported 566,000 additional subscribers, barely missing Wall Street's previous expectations.

Verizon Wireless had 1.6 million subscribers, and T-Mobile has 869,000 subscribers during the same time period, according to Reuters.
