General Motors confirmed this week that it will launch 15 new or improved vehicles in the U.S. during 2014, including the 2015 the Chevrolet Silverado HD, Cadillac ATS Coupe and 2015 Chevrolet Colorado.

The announcement follows 18 new or upgraded vehicle launches in the U.S. last year, according to a company press release.

"In 2014, our focus will remain on winning customers by delivering new vehicles with compelling value and outstanding quality," said GM President Dan Ammann in a statement, according to the company release.

The 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe was one of the most popular attractions at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

GM revealed on Jan. 15 that it should gain "modest" U.S. market share at the retail level over the course of the next year or so.

The prediction was made during the Deutsche Bank 2014 Global Auto Industry Conference.

GM said the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will not debut until early next year.
