Ford has announced that the 2014 Edge SE FWD will be sold for $28,995, including an $895 destination fee.
The price is $400 more than the 2013 was sold for, according to Ford.
The new vehicle is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine and is available in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options.
Ford also confirmed trim levels for the Edge includes Limited, SE, SEL, and Sport.
Featured exterior color options for the Edge includes Sunset Metallic, and Oxford White. Ingot Silver is available for the Edge Sport.
Ford recently reported they sold over 2 million vehicles in 2013. In Dec., the automaker sold 218,058 vehicles, and retail sales were up 3 percent.
"December was a strong close to an even better year for Ford Motor Company," said John Felice, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. "We saw strong growth across the entire Ford lineup and made significant gains in the import-dominated coastal markets.
The 2014 Ford Edge Sport FWD is sold for $38,495, including the destination fee.
Ford expects the new Edge to compete with other mainstream crossover models like the Chevrolet Equinox, Honda Crosstour and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
"Strong demand for our new cars, utilities, hybrids and trucks provided Ford with the largest share point gain of any full-line automaker in 2013," Felice said.
