2014 Hyundai Elantra to be Sold $18,010, $250 More Than Predecessor

The 2014 Hyundai Elantra sedan will be sold for a base price of $18,010, including an $810 destination fee.  The new price is $250 more than the 2013 model, according to the automaker.

Pricing information has not been revealed for the 2014 Hyundai Elantra Coupe yet.

The 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT will be sold for $19,560, including the destination fee. This is $220 more than its predecessor was sold for.

The Elantra competes with similar vehicles like the 2014 Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, and Mazda 3.

The 2014 Hyundai Elantra GLS sedan will now be known as the Elantra SE, according to Hyundai.

Hyundai's revised Elantra was first introduced last month at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

A Sport option has also been added to the Elantra lineup.

The Sport vehicle is sold for a base price of $22,510, including shipping, according to Hyundai. The vehicle comes equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission, and a new 2.0-liter Nu GDI inline four-cylinder engine.

The Elantra Sport with a six-speed automatic transmission has been priced at $23,510, including shipping.

The engine is also standard for the 2014 Elantra Coupe and five-door Elantra GT.
