Kia is playing coy with a new concept car that will reportedly debut at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, but the company has released a teaser photo.

The South Korean automaker hopes to shake up its image with the new 2+2 concept, Motor Authority reported. Kia hasn't released any details on the car yet, but promises the car "is intended to turn heads while delivering superb driving enjoyment on both road and track."

The proportions of the car hint that it might be rear-wheel drive only and a version of the next Hyundai Genesis Coupe, according to Motor Authority.

Kia's last try at a standout sports car concept hasn't made it to market yet despite rumors that the GT Concept would enter production this year.

The four-door GT Concept, which demonstrated Kia's ability to produce a stylish sports car, "could be reinterpreted as a smaller, more compact 2+2 coupe," Motor Authority noted.

The 2014 North American International Auto Show will be held Jan. 13-26. It will feature 71 vehicle debuts that include 61 worldwide introductions, according to the show's website. The event will also host the Michelin Challenge Design and the EyesOn Design Awards.

Other concept vehicles slated to be featured at the Detroit show include the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge and the Volvo Concept XC Coupe.

With less than a month until the show, workers are busy completing the elaborate exhibits they began building in November, CBS Detroit reported.

"A lot of these here in Detroit are specifically built just for Cobo Center," said show Chairman Bob Shuman.  "They use dry wall; they use paint.  It's like they are building a house or building.  Then they rip it all down at the end."

The event welcomed nearly 800,000 attendees last year, according to the show website.
