Google has announced that it will recall approximately 145,000 chargers for its HP Chromebook 11 device.

The recall comes after the company stopped sales of the Chromebook over complaints that the battery was overheating.

Owners are being told to fill out a form on the Google site to be sent their replacement charger, along with packaging to mail back their current charger so that they can dispose of it properly.

The recall affects owners who purchased a HP Chromebook 11 from Oct. 2013 through November 2013.

Google will resume sales of the Chromebook 11, with the new charger, "soon" according to the internet search browser company.

The device was released this past October for $280.

"There is one report of a small burn to a consumer and one report of minor property damage to a pillow from an overheating charger," said the Consumer Product Safety Commission on its website.

The CPSC said the recall is taking place under its "guidance and approval."

Until receiving your new charger, users should use their Chromebook 11 with any certified micro-USB charger, according to Google.

Affected units were purchased mainly from places like Amazon, Best Buy, and Google.

There is no issue with any other Chromebook devices currently.
