Yahoo Mail has been down for some users since Monday, and the email service still isn't completely up and running during a difficult week for the company.

While the issues were supposed to be corrected by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Yahoo is still working to pull everything together.

"@Kidsonthekorner Hi Beth, we're working on this right now and we expect all emails to be delivered by tomorrow afternoon," the Yahoo Mail Twitter account tweeted on Thursday, as quoted by Business Insider.

The email service was partially restored Wednesday night, but Yahoo is still working on a format called IMAP, which helps Yahoo Mail sync with other email apps, the outlet said.

"We are very sorry for recent difficulties with Yahoo Mail," Jeffrey Bonforte, Yahoo's senior vice president of communication products, said in a Tumblr post. "Some of our users have not been able to access their mail since 10:27 PM PT on Monday night, due to a hardware problem in one of our mail data centers. The issue has been harder to fix than we originally expected. We have dozens of people working around the clock to bring it to a resolution."

Yahoo hasn't been having a great week. Its photo-sharing service Flickr crashed Thursday morning as well, failing to load for about an hour, according to TechCrunch.com.

The unknown problem returned an "inactivity timeout" message that read: "Description: Too much time has passed without sending any data for document."

While the site has since come back, it's still unclear whether or not the problem has been fixed for all users.

The company's public response to the site issues has been "minimal," the outlet said. The Flickr outage hasn't yet been addressed, while the Yahoo Mail problems were explained in a few simple tweets and posts.
