Hyundai has revealed its base 2014 Veloster will be sold for $18,610, including an $810 destination fee. The price announcement reflects a $215 price increase compared to its predecessor.

The base 2013 Hyundai Veloster will be sold for $18,395, including a $795 destination fee, according to Hyundai.

The 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo with a six-speed automatic transmission is available for $24,100, including shipping.

"We're thrilled to add the Veloster Turbo R-Spec to our growing family of enthusiast-oriented R-Spec models", said Scott Margason, director, product planning, Hyundai Motor America, in a statement. "The R-Spec takes the Veloster theme of affordable performance to an entirely new level that is sure to appeal to driving enthusiasts."

Hyundai equips its Velosters with features like a rearview camera, daytime running lights, and driver's blind-spot mirror. Torque vectoring control comes standard on the Turbo model, whereas automatic temperature control is an available option.

Pricing for the new 2014 Veloster Turbo R-Spec was revealed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The automaker did not announce pricing for the full-line Veloster however.

Hyundai Motors said the success of the Veloster RE:MIX will allow the company to make "more Veloster special editions in the near future."

The RE:MIX model accounts for around 10 percent of all Veloster sales.
