BMW has officially introduced its i Collection, advertised by the automaker as a series of "eco-friendly" tech accessories, just in time for the holidays.
BMW says that this is its "first lifestyle accessories collection featuring products that incorporate the sustainable BMW i concept," according to a company press release.
BMW's i laptop pouch, sold for $49, is made from blue, brown and gray "recycled plastic felt-like material and leather tanned with olive leaves," according to the automaker. The pouch, which was designed to mimic i3 and i8 cars, can fit up to a 15-inch laptop device.
For $44, BMW's i8 computer mouse provides energy savings of up to 30 percent through its LED light and automatic sleep mode option, according to the automaker.
BMW said the mouse's styling was based on the design of the i8 Concept vehicle.
The collection includes a $49 i Solar Charger, which is capable of powering a mobile device in two or three hours through a USB cable or 12-15 hours by using sunlight or artificial light.
Custom designed adapters lets it to connect to a number of different devices sold from Apple, Samsung, Blackberry, and Nokia.
Other items confirmed this week on the i Collection Web site includes: a $20 key lanyard made of recycled PET plastic, a custom designed pen that goes for $20, and a $33 notebook also made of recycled PET.
