Henry Ford will be honored in a new Thanksgiving float during the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The 100-foot-long float with a giant likeness of Henry Ford, who is dressed in striped overalls and is surrounded by blueprints. The float will be a part of Detroit Thanksgiving Day parade.
The float will also include a Ford Focus and a birthday cake to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Ford's birth, according to the automaker.
Elena Ford, the great-great granddaughter of Henry Ford and vice president for Ford global dealer and consumer experience, will ride on the float.
Vehicles like the Ford F-Series, and Mustang are also scheduled to take part in the celebration.
Ford is the official "parade vehicle" for Detroit's Thanksgiving Day parade.
The parade kicks off at 8:45 a.m. at Woodward Ave. and Kirby and ends at Woodward and Congress.
