NYPD SUV Assault: Undercover Officer Pleads Not Guilty For His Role in Gang Attack

A N.Y. police officer was among four bikers who pleaded not guilty on Nov. 20 on charges relating to a beating of a SUV driver back in September.

Wojceich Braszczok was charged with gang assault, criminal mischief, riot and more in the 14-count indictment relating to the September 29 incident with SUV driver Alexander Lien.

Braszczok was not on duty at the time of the altercation.

Footage of the incident recorded from another biker's helmet camera went viral after appearing on sites like YouTube and Reddit.

The bikers slashed Lien's tires, which caused him to call police before driving away. In order to escape the angry mob he had to run over a biker, which was critically injured. The bikers then chased Lien for 50 blocks, and when he exited 178th Street he was pulled from his vehicle and beaten.

Lien was treated at a nearby hospital, and has been released. He has not been charged for his actions.

Braszczok can be seen on at least one of the videos using his fist to destroy the rear window of Lien's vehicle and kicked it in. His attorney has declined to comment on the case.

"There's no change in circumstance. His grandmother, his uncle and his mother work for the DA's Office. This is a lot of money for him. He's not a drug dealer or a Wall Street inside trader," said his lawyer, Morty Katz.

He was released on $150,000 bond, according to CNN. All of the bikers involved could face a maximum of 25 years in jail.
