A brand new flying car has been developed that will allow customers to go up to 124 mph while airborne, according to the International Business Times.

The vehicle, called the Aeromobil 2.5, can be driven on normal roads, but is also capable of turning into a two-seat airplane capable of taking off and landing at any airport.

Aeromobil 2.5 was first unveiled at AeroTech, an airshow exhibition held in Montreal, Canada.

The vehicle also has a max speed of 99 mph when being used as a car, and has a range of 310 miles on a single charge, according to AeroMobil. It weighs approximately 992 lbs, and its wings are collapsible.

It was designed by co-founders Stefan Klein and Jurak Vaculik, and the company is based in Bratislave, Slovakia.

'We have been developing the concept of a flying car since 1990. Our first model looked quite bizarre and it would have problems in the regular use," said Tatiana Veber, an AeroMobil spokesman, in a statement. "That was a signal to improve the concept of the flying car in a way to become an integral part of the regular road traffic.

This project isn't something the AeroMobil team just started working on however. The first version, Aeromobil 1.0, was developed between 1990 and 1994. The second was completed between 1995 and 2010.

The Aeromobil 3.0 two-seater will be showcased in 2014.

"We got a positive feedback from several experts in avionics, which appreciated design and the technical solution of the process of transformation," said Veber.
