Limited-Edition 2015 Audi A5 DTM Champion Model Might Not be Sold in The U.S.

Audi's new A5 DTM Champion model might not be sold in the U.S. according to Edmunds.

The vehicle was designed to honor Mike Rockenfeller, an Audi driver who won the 2013 DTM season "with races to spare," according to the automaker.

Audi has equipped the vehicle with 20-inch aluminum wheels, DTM badges, and a fixed rear wing.

"The Audi works driver won the 2013 DTM season with races to spare, thus securing his first ever title in the popular touring car series," Audi said in a statement.

The limited-edition model is available only in Misano red, Glacier white, and Daytona gray.

Engine options will include: a 2.0 TDI quattro with 177 HP, a 3.0 TDI quattro rated at 245 HP, a 2.0 TFSI quattro which achieves 225 hp, and a 3.0 TFSI quattro delivering 272 hp.

Just 300 units will be manufactured, according to Audi.

Rockenfeller drove a 2013 Audi A5 DTM race car fielded by factory team Audi Sport Team Phoenix.

Audi will reveal at a later time if the vehicle will be sold in the U.S.
