Mercedes-Benz newest S-Class model line, the 2014 S550, has officially debuted at dealerships all-over the country and a series of network television ads for the new vehicle will now run on many popular stations as part of an integrated marketing campaign.
The new 2014 S-Class' interior is "designed to appeal to all the senses" according to a company press release.
The interior includes heated armrests ionized air purification available through the Air Balance Package, and a Burmester sound system.
"The new S-Class represents the best of the Mercedes-Benz brand," said Bernie Glaser, vice president of marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA. "The strides we make in the areas of design, safety, engineering and technology, which are pioneered on the new S-Class, will make their way through all our models and eventually into the mainstream. This is what has happened throughout our 127 years, and as a result, there's hardly a car on the road today that doesn't owe some of its technology to that constant commitment to innovate and to lead."
Its new exterior design goes well with the vehicle's suspension system called Magic Body Control, which is capable of seeing the road ahead and adjusts the suspension depending on the driving conditions.
Mercedes-Benz's Driver Assistance Package, available in the 2014 S-Class and 2014 E-Class sedan, wagon, coupe and cabriolet, offers a number of features like: Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Pre-Safe Brake, Bas Plus with Cross Traffic Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Protection.
Other safety features include Attention Assist and Night View Assist Plus with human and animal detection, according to Mercedes-Benz.
The new S-Class is available for a base price of $92,900, excluding the $925 destination/delivery charge fee.
It will also be available in an all-wheel drive option, called the S550 4MATIC, and in an AMG variant, which is called the S63 AMG 4MATIC.
EPA ratings of 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway have been confirmed by the automaker, meaning the 2014 S550 is more fuel efficient than the current model.
The company's new campaign, created by Merkley+Partners, launches officially today, Oct. 15, with two "cornerstone broadcast ads" according to the automaker.
Both ads, called "Control" and "Four Winds" go into rotation today on national talk shows like "Today," and "Nightline," national broadcast stations like ABC, CBS, and NBC, and cable channels like Discovery and National Geographic
