2013 SEMA Show: Hyundai Showcases Custom Atlantis Blue Coupe

Hyundai and tuner John Pangilinan have united to create a unique JP Edition Genesis Coupe in a memorable, custom-developed Atlantis Blue exterior color, according to a Hyundai Motor America press release.

The renowned tuner continued his reputation for choosing striking color schemes, Hyundai said.

"John Pangilinan is really a creative genius in color development, especially in his ability to blend color with specific vehicle concepts like the JP Edition Genesis Coupe," Scott Margason, director of product planning, said in the press release. "We're excited to see the final concept turning heads in our booth at the SEMA show."

The coupe has 19-inch wheels with rear-drive and staggered, ultra-wide custom metal fender flares. Inside, the Atlantis Blue vehicle has a custom Katzkin suede and smooth leather treatment.

"Within the engine bay, Pangilinan made the modifications many entry-level tuners choose for the most cost-effective power gains, such as an AEM cold air intake, ARK Performance exhaust, turbo downpipe and friction-reducing Lucas Oil," said the press release.

For maximum ride height and body-to-wheel balance, Pangilinan installed KW Variant 3 coil-overs, Whiteline sway bars and an ARK Performance strut bar.

Entertainment electronics are also a priority in the new model, said the press release. The electronics system includes a two-way speaker system, mono power amp and an amp power kit.

The new coupe model, which also features custom headlights with V-LEDS, will debut at the 2013 SEMA show. Set for Nov. 5-8, this year's show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The 2012 show drew more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers, according to the SEMA website. With displays divided into 12 sections, the SEMA show each year provides educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events and more.
