Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny Reunite at Comic Con, Give Blessing to X-Files' Fan's Proposal (PHOTO)

Mulder and Scully reunited at New York Comic Con during the weekend and assisted with a very special case.

After the "X-Files" reunion panel, which featured David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, Miguel Acuna of Elmsford, New York, proposed to his girlfriend, Morgan Childs, according to the Daily Mail.

Acuna, 30, figured it was the perfect spot to propose--the 26-year-old Childs is such a big "X-Files" fan that she has the logo tattooed on her neck.

As the panel was coming to a close, Acuna held up a diamond ring, saying, "What I got from the show was how important it is to have a really good partner.

"Someone who challenges what you think, sometimes thinks the complete opposite, sometimes thinks the way you do, and will always support you. So with that, I actually have a request and a question. The request is if I could have your blessing, and the question actually is to my girlfriend," he said to cheers from the crowd, "Will you do the honor of marrying me?"

After Childs said yes, Duchovny jumped in.

"I think what we should do, you asked for our blessing, you guys should come up here!"

The newly engaged couple came onstage to receive hugs from Duchovny and Anderson.

"Let's wish Miguel and Morgan a long and happy life!" Duchovny said.

Duchovny, 53, played FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder on "The X-Files," which ran for nine seasons, while Anderson co-starred as Special Agent Dana Scully.

They headlined a special 20th anniversary event at this year's Comic Con called "The Truth Is Here."

When asked if they would work together on TV in a different show, Duchovny said, "We are caretakers of the Mulder and Scully thing. So it would have to be something really special."

Anderson joked, "But Scully could disguise herself as a stripper and have sex with you," in reference to Duchovny's role as a sex addict on "Californication."

The pair last reunited in 2008 for an "X-Files" movie, "X-Files: I Want To Believe." Both actors are open to making a third film, the AP reported Sunday.
