State Fair of Texas Update: 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty Lineup Debuts

The new 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty lineup, including a restyled King Ranch truck, debuted this week at the State Fair of Texas.

New features confirmed by the automaker includes a more powerful 6.7-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel V8 engine and increased towing capabilities.

Other specifications about the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks are basically unknown as of press time however.

"We're not releasing numbers on towing, horsepower or torque," said Mike Levine, a Ford spokesman said according to Edmunds.

Pricing for the new trucks has also not been announced yet by Ford. The base 2014 Ford F-250 XL Super Duty starts at $31,075, including a $995 destination charge.

Ford said that one improvement is a bigger GT37 turbocharger that will replace the GT32 model, "enabling more airflow to the engine to produce more power beyond today's 400 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque."

"Extra braking power helps reduce wear and tear on wheel brakes and requires less manual brake application from the driver, especially on downhill grades," Ford said.

Interested customers can expect the new trucks to start arriving at showrooms this spring.

The F-450 will be available for purchase summer 2014, according to Ford.
