1,000-Horsepower Car: 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Debuts Before 2013 SEMA Show

The 1,000-horsepower 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe was unveiled this week before its debut at the 2013 SEMA Show.

The Bisimoto showcar uses a stock Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec V6 engine, while adding Bisimoto-developed internal components like twin turbochargers, an intake gasket, and steel connecting rods.

Other specs include an Electric Blue exterior paint job, an ARK hood, and Denmatic design graphics package, according to Hyundai.

"Bisimoto Engineering is known for extracting awesome, reliable power out of production-grade, everyday power plants," said Hyundai in a press statement.

Hyundai is one of the first automakers to unveil one of its vehicles before the 2013 SEMA Show.

Another 1,000-hp vehicle, the Galpin Ford GTR1, was unveiled in August at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
