The 2014 Buick Regal will go on sale later this year with a base retail price of $30,615, including a $925 destination fee.
The new model is equipped with a number of features like next-generation IntelliLink connectivity with an eight-inch color touch display, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear vision camera and heated front seats.
General Motors will make the Regal available with two different powertrains: A 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder rated at 259 hp and delivers 18 percent more power than the 2013 MY Regal Turbo. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and delivers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 mpg in city driving and 30 mpg highway.
A 2.4L 4-cylinder option is also available with eAssisit for $32,485. This option delivers 36 mpg on the highway.
"Regal represents a more sporty expression of Buick today," said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing. "The 2014 model's advanced technology, powertrain improvements and dynamic handling characteristics deliver the attributes consumers seek in today's premium sport sedans."
The Regal GS will go on sale this year as well for a suggested retail price of $37,830, including a $925 destination fee, according to GM.
The GS features:
-leather sport seats
-Bose premium audio
-Computer Damping Control
-HiPer Strut front suspension
Aluminum 19-inch wheels are standard, but 20-inch wheels are also available.
The Regal GS features a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine rated at 259 hp and 295 lb-ft of peak torque from 2,500 rpm to 4,000 rpm, according to GM.
The 2.0L Turbo is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and earned an EPA rating of 21 mpg in city driving and 30 mpg on the highway. A six-speed manual option is also available on FWD GS models, according to GM.
