NASCAR driver Max Papis claims he suffered a dislocated jaw after being slapped by another driver's girlfriend following Sunday's Camping World Truck Series race in Bowmanville, Ontario.

ESPN confirmed that the woman who struck Papis is the girlfriend of fellow driver Mike Skeen.

"This crazy lady comes shouting at me, and I had no idea, didn't even understand her, she just started shouting," Papis said to ESPN.com. "And all the sudden, she took a full hand and she slapped me so hard. I'm not kidding. My jaw got dislocated and my left ear is still ringing, big time."

Papis was racing for second place when he said Skeen made a careless move to try getting in front of his car. The move failed however, as both vehicles crashed.

The two drivers could be seen exchanging "hand gestures" during the cool-down lap, according to ESPN. Papis then unbuckled his seat belt and as he was doing so, he claims one of Skeen's crew members grabbed him inside his vehicle.

"I've never seen this kid before, and I know you're trying to make a name for yourself. But if that's how you're doing it, you're not going to go very far. I'm a hard racer, but what that guy did was very amateur. It was crazy, honestly."

After being slapped, Papis didn't retaliate.

"What do you do? You don't hit a lady," Papis said. "I was in disbelief. Complete disbelief. If she would've closed her hand it would have been a bad punch, because she hit me so freaking hard. I went to (Skeen) and said, 'I guess we know who's the man in the family here, because the guy didn't even have the (guts) to talk.'"

The video of Papis being slapped has gone viral and giffs have been made of the incident as well.

Papis spoke with Truck Series director Chad Little about the incident and said NASCAR should take action against Skeen's girlfriend.

"It needs to stay between the drivers," Papis said. "I think NASCAR should do something about it. I don't even like that (Skeen's) team member pulled me out of the truck, much less this lady slapping me. Drivers can have arguments with each other, but it shouldn't affect what other people do."
