Apple has officially released the fifth version of its upcoming operating system to developers a little over a week after releasing iOS 7 beta 4.

iOS 7 beta 5 was officially released to developers today, Aug. 6, after Apple addressed a number of bugs that developers complained about with the previous beta version according to CNET.com.

iOS 7 beta 5 provides a white install screen for users with a white iPhone, and a black screen for those with a black device according to AppleInsider.com.

Beta 5 also includes updates to the Settings application in iOS 7, such has new icons for features like Airplane Mode and Wi-Fi Bluetooth.

Another newly added aspect to iOS 7 beta 5 is a setting that lets users disable access to Control Center from apps.

Beta 5 can also be downloaded through iOS Dev Center online portal according to AppleInsider.com.

The fourth beta version of iOS 7 was delayed after Apple had to take its developer website offline after an "intruder" attempted to secure personal information "registered to developers" according to Apple.

iOS 7 is expected to formally debut in September and will run the next Apple device. The operating system will either be used for the iPhone 5S and iPhone Lite, or the iPhone 6, depending on the direction Apple choses to go.

Apple has yet to confirm officially which device it will unveil next month along with iOS 7.

iOS 6 went through five different betas before it was officially released so one or two more betas could come before iOS 7 debuts to the public.
