Nissan Recall: 13,000 Versa Notes Called Back Over Bad Bolts

Nissan has issued two separate recalls for its new Versa Note compact hatchback to fix issues with bolts installed in several areas of the vehicle.

The first recall is for 7,707 Notes from the 2014 model year over loose or missing bolts according to a report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Approximately 13,000 vehicles are affected by the recall.

The second recall is for 7,782 cars from the 2014 model year on account of a rear seat latch bolt that may have been "manufactured incorrectly."

The loose or incorrectly installed bolts can cause an injury if a crash occurs according to the NHTSA.

No crashes or injuries have taken place due to the issue.

Dealers will handle the issue by either replacing, tightening or adding whatever is missing starting on Aug. 12.
