Multiple media outlets are now reporting that a new iPhone will be released sometime in early September.

Apple has already confirmed that it will release its iOS 7 software this fall, which also means the introduction of a new phone, but the company still won't reveal officially if the iPhone 5S is next or the iPhone 6.

Some experts seem to believe they may release both devices at the same time or an iPhone Lite will accompany the iPhone 5S instead as a cheaper, yet updated option until the iPhone 6 is released.

If the Labor Day release date is true, this means Apple not only already knows which device is next but also has started producing the phone to prepare for its world-wide release.

During the spring, it was reported that Apple will hold a media event on Sept. 10 to unveil the finalized iOS 7 and a new iPhone to go along with it.

Apple announced iOS 7 during a June media event but it has since gone through four beta tests (so far) and is far from finished. Once iOS 7 is completed, invitations to the media event will likely be sent out by Apple.

If history means anything, the next iPhone device will be released on a Friday, which could mean Apple has Sept. 13 in mind. This would be the first Friday to follow the supposed media event. None of this has been confirmed by Apple however.

Current specs that have been rumored for the new iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 includes an A7 quad core processor and a larger storage capacity. The iPhone 6 is rumored to come in 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB options according to the International Business Times.

Two other rumors that have been mentioned by a number of different media outlets include a retina + display and dual LED flash. Neither has been confirmed by Apple as of press time.

Another unconfirmed feature includes wireless charging as one of the more common complaints about the iPhone 5 is its battery capability.

Apple is expecting such a high demand for the new device they've reportedly hired 40,000 new employees to get phones out quick enough according to a report by StableyTimes.com.
