2014 Lamborghini Gallardo Final Edition Spotted? (PHOTOS)

Lamborghini is preparing to retire the Gallardo to make room for its successor, the Cabrera, but not before releasing one last special edition model.

The new vehicle was recently spotted out during a test run for the first time ever according to GTSpirit.com.

Lamborghini revealed back in April that they would be releasing one more manual-transmission equipped Gallardo.

The Gallardo had a 10-year production run, has released a number of special editions and stripped-down variants like the Gallardo Superleggera and the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale.

"It will be the least-gilded, back-to-basics stripped version," said Michael Lock, Lamborghini of America's chief operating officer.

Lock said the vehicle was conceived specifically as a proper send-off for one of their most popular vehicles ever.

The spy shots show an updated front and rear bumpers first seen on the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, and a carbon fiber rear wing and engine cover.

Other specs will be released later on this year like what kind of engine the vehicle will be equipped with.
