A Florida football player has been arrested for barking at a police dog and resisting arrest according to the Associated Press.
An officer and K-9 were investigating a vehicle in Gainesville on July 21 when Antonio Morrison, 19, barked at the animal.
Florida law states that it's a crime to "harass" a police dog while the animal is "in the performance of its duties."
Morrison, who is a linebacker for the University of Florida "Gators" football team, claims that the dog barked at him first.
Gators head football coach Will Muschamp said that Morris will be suspended for at least two games once the season begins according to the Associated Press.
"I'm extremely disappointed in Antonio Morrison's decision making," said Muschamp said in a press statement.
Morrison enrolled at the University of Florida back in January 2012 and will be playing his second season of college ball this year.
Muschamp said Morrison was slated to be in the team's starting lineup once the season got underway, but now the Gators will be without him for half a month at least.
This is Morrison's second arrest this summer alone. He was charged back in June with battery after being accused of punching a bouncer who didn't give him a discount during a night out.
A Florida prosecutor said he's not sure Morrison should have even been arrested for barking at the dog.
"Based on the initial report, I have to question the sufficiency of the evidence to constitute a crime," Florida State Attorney Bill Cervone said to the Gainesville Sun.
"Simply barking at a dog may not be enough."
