Michelin is recalling 100,000 tires after a retailer discovered that some of them had holes or they were completely deflated.
The recall includes certain sizes of Michelin's LTX M/S 2, X Radical LT2 and Latitude Tour tires according to USA Today.
The tires are usually found on light trucks and SUVs.
There have been no reports of damage or injury as of press time.
The puncture was caused by machines used to move the finished tires according to Michelin. The tires were made in Michelin's Lexington, S.C. plant.
Approximately 2,500 of the recalled tires may have the defect.
Those who may have purchased the tires will be notified by mail starting next week. Owners who may have already replaced the tires will be reimbursed.
The recalled tires will be replaced with a similar tire free of charge.
The tires were produced between September 2012 and early June 2013.
