For the second consecutive month, the Ford Mustang has out sold its rival the Chevrolet Camaro.
Ford has to be ecstatic with the news considering before May Chevy out-sold them every single month since November 2012 despite the addition of new V-6 and V-8 engines according to USA Today.
Last month Ford sold approximately 10,263 Mustangs, which is actually 9.9 percent lower than the amount sold in June 2012.
Luckily for Ford, Camaro sales were down 20.7 percent compared to June 2012, as they sold just 7,236 vehicles according to USA Today.
Since 2004, Ford has sold approximately 1,020,123 Mustangs worldwide according to Erich Merkle, Ford's chief sales number keeper. Chevrolet has sold 345,026 during the same time period.
Another Mustang challenger, the Dodge Challenger, saw sales increase 27.2 percent last month after selling 5,191 vehicles.
Ford has sold 43,111 Mustangs in 2013 so far according to a company press release. Approximately 42,312 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles have been sold during the same time period.
Just 29,982 Challengers have been sold this year, a number that is expected to increase drastically before January.
