2014 Honda Odyssey Starts at $29,505, On Sale July 2 With Optional Vacuum

The redesigned 2014 Honda Odyssey will be sold for a base price of $29,505, including an $830 destination charge, reflecting a $150 price increase over the current model.

The 2014 Honda Odyssey goes on sale July 2 according to a company press release.

"The Odyssey is already the leader in its segment, and for 2014, Honda has made the modern family hauler even better," said Michael Accavitti, vice president of marketing operations at American Honda, in a previously released statement according to MLive.com.

The Odyssey features a 3.5-liter, 24-valve V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with a combined EPA fuel economy of 22 miles per gallon, 19 city and 28 highway according to Honda.

The new model will be released with an optional built-in vacuum called the HondaVAC.

"Honda is once again showcasing its reputation for innovation with HondaVAC, and its ability to provide true value to our customers," Accavitti said.

The 2014 Odyssey features a number of improvements, including:

 - a standard six-speed automatic transmission on all models,

 - upgraded exterior styling and standard Bluetooth

 - four-way power passenger seat,

 - Expanded View Driver's Mirror

 - Pandora interface and an SMS text messaging function.

New exterior colors include Modern Steel Metallic and Obsidian Blue Pearl.
