Aaron Hernandez Update: Police Search Patriots Tight End’s House, Rental Car Next (VIDEO)

Police have returned to the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez two days after a body was found just a mile away.

Two Massachusetts officers tried to search the house earlier on today, June 19, but no one answered the door. On June 18, officers spent hours at Hernandez's home and at an industrial park where the body was found on June 17.

Hernandez is not believed to be a suspect in what is currently being treated as a possible homicide according to Sports Illustrated.

Though he is not a suspect, police currently feel there is some form of a connection between the killer and Hernandez. Police have confirmed they'll be investigating the NFL player's Chevrolet Suburban rental car next according to ABC News.

Athletes First agency, who represents Hernandez, said it had "no comment" regarding the case.

"I am aware of the reports, but I do not anticipate that we will be commenting publicly during an ongoing police investigation," Patriots spokesman Stacey James said according to ABC News.

The Patriots drafted Hernandez out of Florida in 2010. Since then, he has combined with Rob Gronkowski to form one of the best tight end combinations in the NFL.

Hernandez has 175 receptions for 1,956 yards and 18 touchdowns in 38 games. He missed a total of 10 games last season with an ankle injury and had shoulder surgery in April according to Sports Illustrated. He is expected to be ready for training camp.
