Chris Brown Hit-and-Run? LAPD Investigates Fender-Bender, Could Result in Jail Time (VIDEO)

The LAPD is investigating singer Chris Brown after he gave out incorrect information during a simple fender-bender last week.

Last week Brown rear-ended a Mercedes while driving in California as he was on his way to a recording studio. Brown was driving Range Rover with sometime-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who he's reportedly living with after splitting with Rihanna.

Brown allegedly refused to give his driver's license number to the woman he hit, and also gave her incorrect insurance information according to TMZ.

To make matters worse, the singer got angry with the woman when she asked him more than once for his information.

Brown is currently on probation for beating his former girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. The singer has to stay out of trouble or he could risk going back to prison.

If there is probable cause to believe Brown broke any law last week by leaving the scene without disclosing information he could face up to four years in jail according to TMZ.

Brown has yet to comment about the incident officially, but TMZ said this weekend that Brown is claiming "he did nothing wrong."
