Porsche Designs Gold Blackberry P’9981 Limited Edition Concept, On Sale for $2,000 (VIDEO)

If you've ever wanted to own a Porsche, you might be in luck. Blackberry announced this week they'll be releasing 25 gold plated limited edition Porsche Design P9981 devices this summer.

The BlackBerry 10 device is coated in 24 carat gold on top of titanium and stainless steel casing according to BlackBerry. Similar to other phones designed with assistance from Porsche, the device is more "angular and minimalist" appearance wise compared to a normal phone according to the Daily News.

While the phone may not be your dream car, Blackberry worked exclusively with Porsche Design to create the stylish, yet heavy device. Each device comes with an engraved serial number and its 2AA prefix code according to the New York Daily News.

This code forms part of the handset's PIN and informs other BlackBerry users that they are communicating with a P'9981 owner.

The Bold 9900 comes with a 1.2GHz processor and 8GB of RAM, which together runs the BlackBerry's BB7 operating system.

BlackBerry's current non-gold phone has a 3.1-inch HD touch screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and comes with BlackBerry's OS BB10.

"It's a change in smartphone experience, the dominant paradigm, introduced six years ago, was great and revolutionary at the time," BlackBerry's Chief Marketing Officer Frank Boulben told ABC News in an interview earlier this year. "But six years is a long time for a technology cycle, with a new user experience with a clear focus we have the opportunity to take market share back."

The Porsche phone will go on sale this June for approximately $1,890 according to BlackBerry.
