The 2017 SEAT Arona has made another surprise appearance prior to its grand launch next week. The Nissan Juke rival showed up without any camouflage, unveiling its fresh design.

The 2017 SEAT Arona has been spotted undisguised few days before its grand debut. Surprisingly, the new model was spotted not on the testing ground but in the air, while being airlifted in Spain.

The spy photo was first posted on Instagram under the account of marcosgf. The post's caption says the new SEAT Arona was spotted flying over Barcelona. Aside from this, there are no other details as to why the new model is up in the air and where it is headed.

The spy photo reveals a full view of the side and rear portions of the new Arona. A plastic cladding can also be spotted at the bottom of the car, on the side, back and wheel arches.

The new compact crossover comes with a two-tone body paint. The car on the spy photo has a gray body and a contrasting red roof.

Looking at the rear section, it appears that the new crossover takes its inspiration from its bigger sibling, Ateca. The new car has slender taillights and similar light. Moreover, a silver accent can be seen on the bumper.

The new Arona seems to have a rakish windscreen. It also sports a tailgate-mounted spoiler, as well as alloy wheels.

SEAT has remained tight-lipped with the official details of the new Arona. Speculations say the new crossover will take the smallest version of the MQB platform of the VW Group.

Under the hood, the new Arona is speculated to come with the same engine from its other sibling, Ibiza. It might run with a 1.9-liter TSI engine that can deliver 70 kW. It is also expected to run with an engine option that can deliver 84 kW.

In addition, the automaker is speculated to feature a 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder engine that can produce 110 kW. The 2017 SEAT Arona is scheduled to have its grand debut on Monday, June 26.
