Maserati to Recall 7,400 Vehicles for Suspension Issue, Quattroporte, Alfa Romeo, Gran Turismo Included

Maserati will recall approximately 7,400 vehicles because of a rear suspension failure that can cause a driver to lose control according to a report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The company said this weekend that the threaded ends of the rear tie rods could rust and fail due to "insufficiently applied zinc-nickel anti-corrosion compound material.

"Failure of the tie rods may result in a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash," said Maserati according to the NHTSA report.

Maserati will replace the tie rod assemblies on all affected vehicles free of charge beginning towards the end of June.
