The 2018 Nissan GT-R is definitely one to watch out for. It is expected to live up to it being called as "Godzilla" for coming up with a performance that can rival other supercars. There is no doubt that it can deliver monstrous power, but is it really enough to compete with other highly-able cars of its kind?

This is an important question to ponder on as supercars are actually becoming more and more super by the minute. The overall weight of 2018 Nissan GT-R is somehow in question. It is expected to still be heavy when all other vehicles belonging to any class aim to go significantly lighter.

Journalists say that the 2018 GT-R is "heavy, heavy, heavy!" when all of them are demanding for it to go "lighter, lighter, lighter!" Well, this makes sense. Actual body weight is an essential factor to consider for the entirety of any vehicle's performance. While going lighter makes a lot of sense, Kazutoshi Mizuno thinks otherwise.

He even says that journalists need to develop a more professional level of thinking and that they also need more thought and more study. He says that the GT-R needs to be in the weight that it is currently in.

Other reports do suggest that the GT-R is getting stale. The current one, which is the R35 GT-R has been around for some eight years now in the U.S. Yes, it has gone through various levels of improvement for the past years but it is getting old, period.

The GT-R used to be the king of the road, however, the newer ones seem to have overtaken it. What used to be gigantic and monstrous Godzilla has become a little pet reptile, so to speak.

Recently, there also has been a 2020 GT-R Concept released. It is described as more revolutionary more than an evolutionary car. The GT-R definitely has a lot in store for its avid fans. No matter what it is, the 2018 Nissan GT-R is expected to get its inner Godzilla back!
