June is a significant month for the X-Trail. This is the month when Nissan revealed its facelifted 2017 X-Trail. This makeover has made the X-Trail an even more attractive and sporty SUV in many ways. Altogether, it makes for one highly coveted vehicle of its kind.

The 2017 Nissan X-Trail has a refreshed front end and improved interior. It even comes with an interesting self-driving technology giving it autonomy. This is all because NISMO released the new NISMO Performance Package.

The package, however, focuses more on the looks and barely touches anything mechanical. This means no matter how sporty it appears to be, it still has the same performance capacity as before. Buyers who are heavily invested in looks and general character of their vehicle surely will get attracted to the 2017 Nissan X-Trail with the NISMO Performance Package.

The Nissan Performance Package is even considered as "all show but no go," which is self-explanatory. Others wish to also have some significant power adjustments, however, this is not the case for the NISMO Performance Package.

To add to the visual improvement and enhancement, the radiator grille is surrounded by gloss black panels and sportier bumper. The rear does get its improvement for a new lower bumper spoiler with parking sensors and chrome exhaust pipes. There is also a special two-tone wheels and chrome door handles for a more aggressive look.

Speaking of autonomy, the 2017 Nissan X-Trail boasts of ProPilot semi-autonomous drive. It is offered as a factory option on the 20X and 20X Hybrid grades. It is responsible for controlling the throttle, brakes, and steering which can be used either on the highway or crowded cities.

The 2017 Nissan X-Trail with NISMO Performance Package is exclusively available only in Japan. The X-Trail is the Rogue's counterpart in the US. Will the Rogue get the same NISMO Performance Package? No one really knows.
