The new 2018 BMW M5 has made a pleasant appearance ahead of its grand launch at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 S rival has been spotted in the latest teaser photo, giving a first look at the new model without wearing its camouflage.

The official trailer for EA's game "Need For Speed Payback" has been released and it seems to contain a teaser photo for the new M5. The cover artwork of the game spotted in the trailer most likely unveils the new car.

In the teaser photo, a blue BMW can be spotted behind a red car, hinting on the new M5. This should not be a surprise as the car has been a regular cast in the "Need For Speed" game for the past years.

The artwork provides a glimpse of the final design of the new BMW M5. Looking closely at the photo, a blue BMW can be seen that actually looks very similar to the previous spy shots of the camouflaged mule. The bumper, grille and headlights on the blue BMW from the trailer looks the same with the spy shots. The blue car also appears to be from a 5-series and far from the styling of the 3-, 4- or 7-series.

The upcoming 2018 BMW M5 will run with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The brand has not confirmed the horsepower it can deliver but reports say it could most probably be above 600 hp.

The new M5 will utilize the brand's M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The powertrain can change to a full rear-wheel-drive with just a press on a button.

M chief van Meel has previously teased, "An M car must have agility, precision, and dynamics." He also mentioned that the M series is really built for the track. He also explained that the new M5 has been designed to perform like a rear-wheel drive car despite being an all-wheel-drive.

The 2018 BMW M5 is set to debut this September. More teasers are expected to circulate as the upcoming launch of the new M5 gets nearer.
