The 2018 Infiniti Q50 has finally entered production in the automaker's Tochigi plant in Japan. The 2018 premium sports sedan will soon be shipped to the U.S. for arrival at the company's retailers later this summer.
The 2018 model features a modestly revised exterior that comes with a new grille and slimmer LED taillights that are borrowed from the Q60 Coupe. The premium sedan also receives several new upgrades, which have unique styling cues.

The 2018 Infiniti Q50 Sport and Q50 Red Sport 400 is equipped with a more aggressive front bumper, while the Red Sport features a rear diffuser and unique 19-inch alloy wheels, and also boasts gloss black mirrors. On the inside, designers added a sportier shift knob, a new steering wheel, and additional soft-touch materials around the instrument panel. Buyers will also get an upgraded wood trim and new chrome accents.
Under the hood, the automaker will offer different engines for the new Q50 including an entry-level model with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder that makes 208 hp (211 PS) and 258 lb-ft of torque (349 Nm). In addition, there will also be an available twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 300 hp (304 PS) and 295 lb-ft of torque (400 Nm) as well as 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
The Infiniti Q50 is the automaker's best-selling model. Infiniti has already sold nearly 210,000 units worldwide. Customers can also opt for a hybrid version which features a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a small electric motor that makes a combined maximum output of 360 hp.
