2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R vs. 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1: One Has To Be The Winner!

The competition between the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R has no signs of stopping. Various industry experts have weighed in their insights and its proving to be even more challenging. Results are mixed, with experts equally representing each of the cars.

Is it really that difficult to begin with? If one has to base it on specs, the Camaro proves to be the stronger one. The 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R is capable of producing 526-horsepower, thanks to its 5.2-liter V-8 engine. The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, however, is even more power producing 650-horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from its 6.2-liter supercharged V-8.

The ZL1 is reviewed to be comfortable. Of course, this is important before it even moves. The comfort of the driver is essential to achieve maximum driving prowess and skill. The ZL1's interior also looks like a luxury car. The Mustang Shelby GT350R is considered superlative on this aspect. The seats are form fitting as opposed to relaxed, thus getting quite an unfavorable review.

Having been able to drive both insane cars, experts have different things to say. Overall experience is of the essence. Both have been driven neck and neck to see which of the two prevailed and reigned supreme.

As it recently raced at Nurburgring, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 easily beat the Ford Mustang Shelby. Its engine did the work and it did not disappoint. The Camaro managed to finish with a time of 7:29:6 whereas the GT350R finished at 11.7-seconds.

It is important to note that it is just not about both car's technical specifications. It is also not about the racing on a straight track. Nurburgring's winding roads tested the Camaro ZL1 and the GT350R's capacity.

However, at the end of the day, one has to be the winner. In this race, it is obviously the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. Its speed and brute force outperformed the equally agile and powerful 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R.
