Finally, after months of a long tease, Dodge has revealed the price of the all-new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The 2018 limited-production muscle coupe will start at $86,090, including the $1,700 gas-guzzler tax and a $1,095 destination charge.
The new Challenger Demon is capable of making 840 hp and 770 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. The Demon Crate, which comes with a performance hardware and software that's needed to run high-octane race gas, is now available for just $1.
The crate will also come with a pair of narrow front drag wheels, conical performance air filter, a passenger mirror block-off plate, two valve stems, and Demon-branded tools such as a hydraulic floor jack with matching bag, torque wrench with extension and lug nut socket, tool bag, pressure gauge, cordless impact wrench with charger, and fender cover. The crate is valued at $6,140 and will also come with a foam case made to fit in the Demon's trunk.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon comes stripped from the factory, but customers can order a front passenger seat in cloth, back bench seat in either cloth or leather, or the Demon trunk carpet kit that only cost $1 each. A power sunroof will cost customers an extra $4,995, while the Painted Black Satin Graphics package that comes with a black hood, roof, and decklid will cost $,3,495.
In addition, the Demon is also available in 15 different exterior colors, with Destroyer Grey, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Octane Red, Go Mango, Maximum Steel, Redline, White Knuckle, TorRed, and Yellow Jacket all available at launch. Dodge announced that F8 Green, B5 Blue, Indigo Blue and Plum Crazy would be available later on.
Furthermore, the automaker had previously announced that only 3,300 units would be made, with 3,000 of those destined for the U.S. and the rest of Canada. Production of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will begin this summer at FCA's Brampton, Ontario plant in Canada, and first deliveries to Dodge dealerships will start in the fall.
