The Bentley Continental GT is one of the oldest models of the brand. It's been known for some time now that the 2018 model will undergo radical changes. Turns out, this change will make the 2018 Bentley Continental GT the most high-tech car for the British automaker.

Set to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the 2018 Bentley Continental GT will not use the model's original platform. Instead, it will be similar to the Porsche Panamera, as per Autocar. Sources told the news outlet that the upcoming Continental GT will be "second to none in terms of engineering."

The 2018 Bentley Continental GT's new platform is called the Modularen Standardantrieb Baukasten (MSB). The engineering provides equal weight distribution from the front to the back, as well as an all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering that is not present in the current platform.

Touted as Bentley's most high-tech car, this model will have a 48-volt electronic framework. It will feature an improved driver assistance system that will have an autonomous driving capability.

Inside, the dashboard appears to have a sleeker integration than Bentley's most recent lineups, as per Auto Evolution in its exclusive interior spy shots. Bentley made a few key changes in the placements of the air vents and the clock display.

Outside, the new Bentley exudes a more athletic form. The MSB platform gave the car a more agile aluminum structure as it stripped off some the weight compared to its previous models.

The 2018 Bentley Continental GT will come with a W-12 and V-8 engine options, as well as a hybrid gasoline-electronic option so that it's up to par in terms of achieving zero-emission.
