A new report conducted by The Smoking Gun is claiming the "karaoke couple," who gained fame last week after singing at a gas station for free gas as part of a prank conducted by Jay Leno, are actually professionally trained actors.

Will and Monifa Sims, who were believed to be a random couple from the Leno segment "Pumpcast News," are trained actors from Chicago who moved to Hollywood to pursue their acting dreams according to the report.

The report also claims that Monifa, who goes by Monifa Days according to her acting resume, has already appeared on Pumpcast News at least once before back in 2011.

In the 2011 video, she's seen wearing identical pants and driving the same car. Check out the report posted by The Smoking Gun to see her first "Pumpcast News" appearance.

After being confronted by the Chicago Sun-Times, Will told the newspaper that producers made up fake job titles to make them seem "less suspicious."

"(The producers" didn't want (people) to think we were actors and it was a 'plant,'" Will said to the newspaper. "They were like, 'You're a bartender, and she's a fitness (trainer).'"

As the hits continued to increase on YouTube, Will told his friends to keep sharing the video and eventually it went viral.

"You never, in a million years, think you're going to pump gas and be on the Internet, let alone 'The Tonight Show,'" Will said according to the newspaper.

Monifa admitted to being an actress to The Smoking Gun, but said the second appearance in the segment was a "coincidence."

The video has gained over 9 million views as of press time on YouTube.
