Is a new and improved Chrysler 300 sedan coming in the market? Is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) developing a more powerful 300 SRT for U.S. consumers?

Spy photographers from Autoblog recently spotted the car as it underwent road testing. These spies described that the vehicle looked like a Chrysler 300 SRT but it distinctly had with bigger wheels that "stick pretty far out from the wheel wells."

The vehicle also appeared to sport Brembo brake calipers, which are standard 300 SRT feature. The spies, however, noticed it sounded like the test vehicle had a Hellcat V8 engine as it drove on U.S. roads. Jalopnik shared more photos of the Chrysler 300 SRT while road testing.

It bears noting that the company discontinued selling the specific model for U.S. consumers in 2015. Does this mean a more powerful Chrysler 300 will return in America?

The Hellcat engine is commonly fitted for FCA's Dodge models, as per Car Wale. The car company also tweaked this engine for its Charger SRT and Challenger SRT but it has never done this for the Chrysler SRT. So, why could it be possibly doing it now based on this road test?

Without any firm word from FCA, speculations are that the Chrysler 300 might be headed for the Middle East or Australian market, as per Car Buzz. Australia never got its Chrysler 300 when the vehicle first came out and Dodge models aren't also sold Down Under. The Middle East market, on the other hand, currently have the Chrysler 300 where sales have, so far, been satisfactory.

Fitted with a Hellcat V8 engine, however, the Chrysler 300 could become more appealing to Australian consumers who value vehicles with solid horsepower.
