A particular event was recently held to race featuring a rolling start and a long runway. This involved two luxury cars, the 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo and Cadillac CTS-V. This may not be a race between speed demons but it's interesting to know which one reaches 100kph the fastest.

The 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo is able to reach 100kph in 3.8-seconds while the Cadillac CTS-V can in a second faster at 3.7-seconds. It is common knowledge that more power and torque is equivalent to a faster car. This makes it even more evident when doing a rolling start and has to rely more on power rather than the car's electric brain.

Digging deeper in specifications reveal that Cadillac CTS-V has more brute muscle power, which is able to produce 640-horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. The Panamera Turbo, on the other hand, produces 540-horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque.

The Cadillac CTS-V can go a top speed of 320kph while the Panamera Turbo is at 306kph. Clearly, the Cadillac is the obvious winner in such competition. See the video below for the actual performance of both cars.

The 2017 Panamera Turbo has arrived in the U.S. back in January, which is priced slightly higher than its predecessor. The Turbo can set one back $147,950 as a base price, which is $5,600 higher than before.

On the other hand, the Cadillac CTS-V is exceptional as it combines functional design and sophisticated technology. It is built as one confident track performer, which also performs equally excellent as an everyday car. It is even considered the pinnacle of Cadillac's design.

The competition between 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo and Cadillac CTS-V is interesting as both cars don't really go head-to-head often. However, such event showcased what both cars can do especially when revving up and speeding down a track. There is no clear winner as both cars are excellent in its own right.
