2018 Beast Alpha Will Only Cost $95,000 And It Comes With A Brand New Powertrain

When the automaker, Rezvani, debuted the 2018 Beast Alpha at the 2016 LA auto show, it stated that it will have a starting price of $200,000 and will be powered by a Honda 2.4-liter supercharged engine. Today, Rezvani has just confirmed that the Beast Alpha will only cost a minimum of $95,000.

The Beast Alpha may look the same but there are some major changes for the new model and that includes its powertrain. The supercar now will be powered by a Cosworth-tuned 2.5-liter supercharged four-cylinder that makes 400 hp (298 kilowatts), rather than the 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 500 hp.

Customers don't need to worry since the decrease in output doesn't affect the car's performance since it can still accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. A six-speed manual gearbox will come standard, and customers will have an option to choose a six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters for $15,000.

The all-new 2018 Beast Alpha now comes standard with a fiberglass body and lies on top of a Lotus-derived chassis. The roof panel over the occupants can also be removed. The standard 2018 version weighs around 2,000 pounds (907 kg).

In addition, the previously standard carbon-fiber panels are still available for customers who are willing to spend an extra $20,000 and cut the sports car's weight down to 1,950 pounds. The Sidewinder doors also cost an additional $10,000.

"At this price point, we're able to introduce the vehicle to a whole new range of buyers, adding our signature design and performance touches onto an already proven package," said company founder and CEO Ferris Rezvani. "It's a Porsche killer, comparatively, and for around the same price, it's far more exclusive."

Customers can also opt to load the 2018 Beast Alpha's inside with amenities. Available amenities will include a full leather interior that is $3,500, and the sports leather seats will cost an extra $3,700. An Alpine stereo that comes with an Apple CarPlay feature adds $3,500 to the base price. Other small amenities will include a hand-stitched floor mat for $650 and a shift knob with Rezvani's emblem for $250.
