Upcoming BMW i8 Spyder: May Come Looking As What Is Expected

The upcoming BMW i8 Spyder has been recently spotted being tested at Nurburgring. From what was seen, the captured images suggest that the supercar may come looking like what it is expected to look like. Cues from the images undoubtedly reveal it is indeed the i8 with only little changes.

The mule that was spotted is clearly an i8 with minor differences. From what was recently spied, the mule sports a soft roof as compared to the usual. The convertible is also expected to still have the same 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine and electric motor setup. However, it is important to note that BMW may still add few more tweaks as the Bavarian company still has enough time before its official debut.

BMW may make the car even more lightweight for making use of carbon fiber frame. The engines may not be spared altogether as well. To catch up to the insane capabilities and performance of the recent supercars in the market, BMW may enhance its engine to make it more of a speed monster.

Alongside the fabric soft soof, the upcoming BMW i8 Spyder comes with styling tweaks to the front and rear bumpers that are relative to the coupe version. It is presumed to be carried over to the coupe as part of its mid-life update. This update is interesting as such tweaks give the i8 more character.

The upcoming BMW i8 Spyder is expected to impress car enthusiasts and industry experts alike. It is expected to do well in sales as it gets officially released sometime next year. With its 362-horsepower, it is not as fast as its competitors but good enough to some. With an estimated arrival in a year or so, updates may still be incorporated as earlier reported.

The upcoming BMW i8 Spyder may be well-received by experts. Its speed is not its strongest asset as other vehicles of its kind easily produce over 500-horsepower. Its aesthetics may be its selling point. It looks classy and attractive enough. More specific details on the i8 Spyder will definitely be made available soon so it is best to stay tuned.
