Under the compact-sized Ateca is the 2018 SEAT Arona which is said to arrive at European dealerships late this year. It will be packed with MQB underpinnings that are found from the all-new Ibiza. This model will be the Spanish counterpart of the Audi Q2 and the future Volkswagen T-Roc.

This car model which is an Ibiza lookalike offers a sharp exterior design that will get attention. Speaking of a sharp exterior design, a LED lighting dominates the car's front and rear ends. As to the front grille, it is distinctive in its different way with its 3D-like mesh pattern. The car's sides showcase a plastic cladding on the wheel arches, bi-tone alloys, and an A-pillars in black that makes a floating roof impression.

Based on the 2018 SEAT Arona's interior photos that have yet to hit the web, the car will come with mirror caps painted in black, bigger alloys, twin-exit exhaust system, and a sportier front lip. Meanwhile, this car model is also said to have SEAT's new version of infotainment system that has never been released yet.

For the car's interior, one can expect it to come in sharp design cues with an 8 inches touchscreen for the infotainment along with the Full Link connectivity. In terms of the powertrain, SEAT assures a pretty predictable one.

This vehicle is expected to arrive with mostly three engines such as the 1.0-liter turbocharged three-banger, 1.5-liter TSI Evo, and the 1.6-liter TDI engine. These engines will be paired with the Volkswagen Group's five and six-speed stick shifts and the seven-speed transmission. Top of the range will be 1.5-liter TSI Evo that can pump 145 of horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque.

Following the debut of the 2018 SEAT Arona, which is said to take place this fall in Frankfurt, Germany, SEAT will also introduce a third sports utility vehicle. There is still no confirmation of the name of the third SEAT SUV, but there is a big possibility that the upcoming seven-seater will have the name Alora.
