105-Year-Old Bacon Woman: Is Eating Pork The Secret to a Long Life? (VIDEO)

A 105-year-old Texas woman has seemingly figured out the way to live a long time on this earth: bacon.

Pearl Cantrell, a former physical labor worker and mother of seven, claims she eats bacon everyday and that's the reason she's still feels great despite being past her 100th birthday according to NBC affiliate KRBC.

"I love bacon, I eat it everyday," Cantrell said to KRBC when asked the secret to living so long. "I don't feel as old as I am, that's all I can say."

Cantrell lives in central Texas, likes to dance for exercise and had nearly 200 people attend her three-day birthday party.

When Oscar Mayer heard about Cantrell and her love of bacon, they sent out one of their iconic Wienermobiles to make a special bacon delivery to Cantrell's home. The bacon lover even got a chance to ride around in the custom vehicle according to CBS affiliate KHOU.

"She's taught us to work hard and to get up every morning and think about living. She's never thought about dying", said Cantrell's daughter Anno according to KRBC.

While Cantrell's story is nothing short of remarkable, doctor's have warned people for a long time that an excess of anything can be harmful, including too much bacon.

A study conducted by BMC Medicine concluded that eating too much back increases the risk of bowel cancer. The study analyzed the diets of over 400,000 people between the ages of 35 and 69 according to BMC Medicine.
